SUMMARY:Hooked on Downtown: Search for the Smallmouth
DESCRIPTION:Get Hooked on Downtown Owosso this July with a month-long scavenger hunt! \nEach week\, five smallmouth bass that swam their way out of the Shiawassee River and into downtown window displays will be hidden in the storefronts of participating businesses. Visitors are invited to explore downtown\, search for the smallmouth\, and discover local shops\, restaurants\, and service providers along the way. \nParticipants who find all five fish and submit their entry via QR code will be entered into weekly prize drawings featuring tote bags filled with items and gift cards from downtown businesses. \nEach week also features a “Best Dressed Bass” award\, where the community votes for the business that most creatively incorporated or decorated the fish within their window display. \nWith new hiding spots each week\, there’s always a fresh opportunity to play\, explore\, and win. \nThis program is part of a pilot initiative supporting Owosso Main Street’s long-term goal of creating a future storefront competition and activating downtown through arts\, culture\, and community engagement. \nSo grab your friends\, bring your curiosity\, and get ready to explore… because once you start\, you might just get hooked on Downtown Owosso! \n\nParticipating Businesses: 10 Computer Repair & More • Boojie Salon • Drizzle Cakes and Bakes • Gilberts Hardware and Appliance • Great Lakes Apparel Co. DESCRIPTION:The Summer Concert Series is back with five FREE concerts at the Mitchell Amphitheater in Downtown Owosso! \nJuly 9th – Shiatown \nShiatown plays today’s current hard-hitting modern country music along with other classic country tunes. Anywhere from Aldean to Cash. \nJuly 16th – Beth Stalker \nJuly 23rd – Sandra Faye Band \nClassic 70s Rock and Blues \nJuly 30th – Midday Sun \nMidday Sun is an indie rock band from Mid-Michigan featuring original music\, 70s\, 80s\, 90s\, 2000s\, and pop. \nAugust 6th – Simply In Time \nSimply In Time takes some of the best funk\, classic rock\, R&B\, Yacht Rock and instrumental jams\, shakes them up a little\, adds their own blend of “seasoning” for some flavor\, and brings a show you have to see! You’ll hear everything from Bruce Springsteen\, Elton John\, Joe Cocker\, David Bowie\, Cake\, Wild Cherry and Dave Matthews to current hot bands like H.E.R.\, Ray LaMontagne\, Cory Wong\, Vulfpeck\, The Fearless Flyers\, Dirty Loops and Scary Pockets \n\nMake a full evening of it downtown!
